My ultimate favorite is The 10lb Slim Down. This set of 20 minute workouts is great! If you have Comcast On Demand you can get them for free. Just go to the On Demand menu, choose sports and fitness, choose exercise tv, and then 10lb Slimdown. If you go to the website, you can download a diet plan and an exercising schedule. Since I am on the Big W (Weight Watchers) program, I have just been following the exercise schedule. Let me tell you, sisters from other misters and brothers from other mothers, my body is starting to look good. The flab is toning up. If you don't have Comcast, you can buy the workout videos from amazon.com for $17.99. This is the link to the free PDF files for the workout plan and diet. You can also buy the DVD here. http://www.exercisetv.tv/slimdown/
How about a good, old fashioned bike ride. My husband and I bought bikes a couple months ago and we are loving them. My husband rides his bike to and from work everyday (eight miles total). I have a child seat on the back of mine and my little lady and I go about four miles a few times a week. It feels so great to be out and about. I have even been riding my bike to the store! Fun and exercise all in one! I can't afford one of those expensive bikes, so I am sporting around in my 160 bones (word for dollars) Ladies Schwinn Link from Wally's World.
The Wii is totally for me. My Wii has been a great weight-loss tool. With the Wii Fit and Wii Fit Plus you can exercise, get dieting tips, and track your progress. The Wii Fit even weighs you. It is a lot of fun while burning calories.
The other one I like is the Biggest Loser game for the Wii. I am not as impressed with it as I am with the Wii Fit, but it is a lot of fun.
Shake, Shake.. Shake your body! This Zumba game for the Wii is a total blast and a total workout. I love that I can learn to Zumba in the privacy of my own home. No one, I repeat, NO ONE wants to witness my body shake.
I first started working out using the Biggest Loser Last Chance workout video. I loved this workout because they show a low impact version. This helped me to see people my size exercising. I did the low impact for a very long time. I must admit at the end of the video I have been known to call Julian a Witch with a capital B. Just because I was so dang tired after the workout.
And lastly, Richard Simmons baby! Anything by this guy is a okay in my book. Especially if you are extremely overweight. Yes, he sounds like a fruit cake, but he is so encouraging. He has been there and he understands what you are going through. I love this guy!
