Homemade Fat Free Ice Cream

I have an ice cream maker.  It is a really cool one.  I have had it for about 5 years now and love it!  Poor Mr. ice cream maker has been stuck in the closet for two years while I have been dieting.  It was time to bring him out of the closet again.

All you need is some sugar, vanilla extract, and some of this...

Put in your ice cream maker and let it mix.

This is what it looks like when it first starts mixing.  Just looks like milk.

Then it starts getting thick.

Here it is mixing away and almost ready.  Looking out my window I saw a huge peach on my tree and thought why not.  The added peach was a great idea.

All done and yum tum tum!  This was excellent and was only 3 Weight Watchers PointsPlus for 1/2 cup and 100 calories.  Guess how many points the fattening homemade kind was?  10! Yeah I'd rather not have that even though it was super yummy (a few bites landed in my mouth by accident).

Do you want to have some of your own?

Low Calorie Homemade Ice Cream

1 1/4 cup skim milk
1 1/4 cup sugar
3 cups fat free half and half
1.5 tbs vanilla extract

Mix all ingredients.  Add to your ice cream freezer and enjoy!

This could kill a person...

Before starting Weight Watchers I always wondered why I was fat.  I never was the kind of person that would go and buy a dozen doughnuts everyday and eat them all alone.  I never really thought I over ate.  Now that I have been following Weight Watchers I have learned so much.  I now know why I was overweight.  I was eating the wrong things not knowing they were so bad.

Like this Hungry-Man meal.  I only bought this because I had a good coupon that made it 25 cents and I thought it would be great for the hubby to heat up for lunch.

After heating it up in the microwave I thought it looked disgusting.  I wasn't raised on TV dinners so this was a shocker for me.  I also felt it was pretty small being a "Hungry-Man" meal and all.

Then I grabbed my Weight Watcher PointsPlus calculator and started calculating.  I was thinking probably 12 points.  It was 22 PointsPlus!!!  Not only was it high in points, check out the fat, sodium carbs and sugar.  Sick!

I couldn't feed this to the hubby without telling him... The guilt would kill me.  Guess what?  He ate it anyway.  Sick!

So if you eat TV dinners.  Stop!  They make you fat!!!  You may think you hardly ate anything, but you just ate almost an entire day of calories and points in one little tiny meal.  Gross!

Guess What I Got Today?

Do you know what this is?  This is the charm that Weight Watchers gives you when you have reached your goal weight.

I finally got mine today.  It is mine all mine and I am so excited!

Looks pretty sweet with all my other Weight Watchers bling.

The hubby went out and bought me some crab legs and artichokes.  Two of my most favorite foods that happen to be low in calories and points.  Now I just have to maintain this weight for 6 weeks and then I will be a Weight Watchers lifetime member.

I am also a couple of pounds away from my personal goal.  When I reach that I will be really celebrating.  I think I will throw myself a party.  What do you think?

Some More Cheese...

The other day I opened up the fridge and found this.

I started jumping for joy thinking that finally after 2 years of dieting someone in my family has started to help me.  I quickly got out the trusty Weight Watchers PointsPlus calculator and found out that this was only 1 Weight Watchers PointsPlus per serving.  Yes!

Then I opened the pantry and found this...

Another healthy thing.  3 Weight Watchers PointsPlus for 11 crackers.  Someone loves me!

The cute little cheese comes in individual servings like this and guess what?

It spreads on like cream cheese.  Amazing!  Best yet, being very careful I was able to use one cheese for all 11 crackers.

Guess what else?  No one loved me.  Come to find out, the grown gal in the family is now trying to eat healthier and had purchased this stuff for herself.  At least she shares.

Banana Ice Cream...

All you need are bananas and this is one awesome 0 Weight Watchers PointsPlus treat.

Take some very ripe bananas.  Slice them and put them in the freezer until completely frozen.

Once you have your frozen and sliced bananas, throw them into your food processor or blender.  I used my food processor.

Mix and mix and mix until you get this crumble banana mixture.  Does it look funny?  Don't worry all you need to do is stir with a spoon and it turns into ice cream.  It is ok to eat it just banana flavor, but I couldn't help but to do this.

I added a tablespoon of my chocolate powdered peanut butter.  1 Tablespoon is 0 points and it added something very special to the banana ice cream.

Here you go all mixed up.  Grab a spoon and eat it or do what I like to do...

I like it on a cone.  Did you know a cone is 0 Weight Watchers PointsPlus?  Yehaw!

Powdered Peanut Butter, It is Low in Points too!

Have you heard of this stuff?  At the Weight Watchers meeting I attend, they have a table full of empty packages of things people find and try that are low in points.  I saw some of this on the table and was so interested in trying it.  Then My friend Patty told me all about it and I had to have some.

Yes it is powdered peanut butter.  Guess what?  It is only 15 calories for 2 Tablespoons.  That adds up to only 1 Weight Watchers PointsPlus.  Did you know that regular peanut butter is 190 calories and 5 Weight Watchers PointsPlus for 2 Tablespoons?  So this stuff is just awesome!

This is how it looks before you add water.  This stuff is made from superior quality peanuts and are slow roasted then pressed to remove the fat and oil.

This is how it looks when you add your 1 Tablespoon of water to the 2 Tablespoons of powder.

Spread it on to your low calorie bread.  Yeah it is looking good!

Grab some of this 0 Weight Watchers PointsPlus Jam.

Now you are talking.

And now you have a 3 Weight Watchers PointsPlus PB&J sandwich.  Oh yeah!

I am thinking this peanut butter would make a great dip for apples or delish on some celery.

Is it as good as regular peanut butter?  Oh heck no, but it is good and it is a great way to get your peanut butter fix and still shed the pounds.

Now just when you thought it couldn't get any better!  Yes this is Chocolate Peanut butter!  Yes, Yes, Yes!!!  This is actually what they had on that Weight Watchers table and what I am digging.  I think this stuff is great!  Keep checking back and I will show you how I have been enjoying peanut butter chocolate style.

Do you want some of this stuff of your own?  Well after searching near and far the only place I can find it is on ebay or at the Bell Plantation website.  I ordered it right from Bell Plantation click here.

Yes, by the time you pay shipping it does cost a lot.  I hate overpaying for food (being a couponer myself) but I had to tell myself a long time ago that in order for me to succeed with my lifetime journey of being a healthy weight, it is ok to spend extra money on myself.  Plus, I save so much money not running to McDonalds every day for snacks and heck I am worth it.
